Jacob G. (“Jake”) Jackson is General Counsel and Director of Business Development at The Apothecary Shoppe, Inc.
Mr. Jackson graduated from the University of Missouri in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and was a three-year letter award winner in basketball for the Missouri Tigers under the direction of Coach Quin Snyder. While at Mizzou, Mr. Jackson and the Missouri Tigers reached the Elite Eight during the 2001-2002 season.
In 2006, Mr. Jackson graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law and began his practice of law in Kansas City, Missouri, for a Top 100 law firm. During his time in Kansas City, Mr. Jackson focused on corporate law, specifically mergers and acquisitions of closely held businesses. In 2007, Mr. Jackson, and a long-time friend and fellow MU law grad, formed their own law firm, Jackson Pummill, LLC, where Mr. Jackson focused on class action litigation stemming from the abusive practices of the primary pharmaceutical wholesale industry in its treatment of secondary pharmaceutical wholesalers and independent pharmacies throughout the country."
In 2008, Mr. Jackson joined the Missouri Attorney General’s Office as an Assistant Attorney General under (now) Governor Jeremiah W. (“Jay”) Nixon. While at the Attorney General’s Office, Mr. Jackson worked with the Attorney General on high profile cases including the sale of a not-for-profit hospital to a for-profit hospital management company.
Since moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma in December of 2008 and commencing his role as General Counsel for The Apothecary Shoppe, Inc., Mr. Jackson has worked with outside legal counsel and health care professionals to protect the rights of independent pharmacies involved in the pharmacy compounding industry, which includes a recent trip to Washington D.C. to lobby Oklahoma Congressional leaders on the importance of pharmacy compounding here in the State of Oklahoma.
Mr. Jackson and his wife, Kasey, are the proud parents of two miniature dachshunds, Bailey and Barkley.
